Insurance

At Midwest Construction & Remodeling, our mission is to enhance the beauty, protection, and value of every home we touch through expert craftsmanship, honest communication, and a seamless client experience.

Insurance For Agents

Inspection

We begin with a detailed inspection of the home's exterior, focusing only on legitimate storm-related damage. All findings are photographed and documented for review, ensuring transparency from the start.

Claim Filing Support

We guide homeowners through the inspection process and encourage them to contact their insurance carrier directly for any coverage questions. Upon request, we provide detailed inspection findings to support a clear and accurate claim review.

Adjuster Meeting

We meet onsite with the assigned adjuster—not to challenge, but to assist. Our goal is to make the inspection efficient by highlighting only the items observed during our initial review. We maintain a professional, solution-oriented presence.

Scope Review

Once the insurance estimate is issued, our team carefully reviews the scope of work for accuracy. If there are any missing items, code-required upgrades, or discrepancies, we communicate directly with your team and submit documentation to support clarification or revision.

Mortgage Company Coordination

When the insurance check includes a mortgage company, we help the homeowner complete the necessary paperwork to release funds. This includes contractor affidavits, W-9 forms, signed contracts, and lien waivers anything needed to keep disbursement on track.

Project Execution

After scope approval, we coordinate scheduling and begin the project. Our licensed crews work professionally and efficiently, and we maintain progress photos and notes throughout. You're welcome to request mid-project updates or walkthroughs as needed.

Adjustments

If additional items are discovered during the build, we provide thorough documentation and photos to support accurate claim updates. Our goal is to ensure that the scope of work remains aligned with what's truly needed -no more, no less.

Final Invoice

When work is completed, MWCR sends a final invoice reflecting the full approved scope. We also submit relevant closeout documentation and provide the homeowner with copies for their records. This ensures a clean file for you and a strong finish for your policyholder.

Insurance For Clients

Inspection

An MWCR rep will inspect the exterior of your home for signs of storm-related damage.

We’ll document everything thoroughly and review our findings with you, explaining your options clearly and answering any questions

Notify Insurance Company

If storm damage is found, contact your insurance provider to file a claim. Most companies have a 24/7 claims line that makes the process quick and convenient.

MWCR can assist by providing photos, inspection notes, and any documentation needed to help support your claim.

Adjuster Meeting

Once your claim is filed, your insurance provider will schedule a time for an adjuster to inspect your property. It’s important to let your MWCR representative know the date and time of this meeting—we’ll meet the adjuster on-site to ensure nothing is missed and advocate for accurate documentation of the damage

Mortgage Company Process

Some insurance checks will include your mortgage company as a payee.

You’ll need to contact the mortgage company’s draft department to begin the process of releasing the funds. Your rep can assist with any contractor-related paperwork and help ensure everything is submitted properly to avoid delays.

Define Scope And Build Job

Once the insurance loss statement is received, we’ll review it with you to confirm the scope of approved work.

You’ll select your preferred materials and colors, and we’ll handle ordering, scheduling, and all pre- construction prep.

Progress Invoice

Once work begins, MWCR will send a progress invoice based on the ACV portion of your claim.

If additional items are needed, we’ll submit a supplement to your insurance.

After approval, you’ll receive a revised loss statement. Please share it with your MWCR rep so we can keep everything on track.

Post Build Walk Through

After your project is completed, your MWCR representative will do a walkthrough with you to ensure everything meets expectations.

If any final touch-ups or additional trades are needed, we’ll take care of scheduling them right away.

Final Invoice

Once all work is complete and supplements are approved, MWCR will send your final invoice. We will also share a copy with your insurance company to help release any remaining funds owed on your claim.
