Inver Grove Heights, MN Exterior Remodeling

Inver Grove Skyline

The name tells you almost everything. Irish settlers who arrived in 1852 named their riverside community "Inver," after a fishing village back home; German settlers clearing the wooded farmland nearby called theirs "Grove." When the village and township merged into a single city in 1965, "Heights" got added on, mostly, according to local history, to give the new city a more elevated reputation. The Irish farmed the east side along what's now Rich Valley Boulevard; the Germans worked the northwest; French and English settlers built along the riverbank itself. That patchwork history still shows up in the housing today, from large-lot single-family homes in Inver Wood Estates to multi-family condos and townhomes in Salem Square to new construction filling in the north side. The historic Rock Island Swing Bridge, built in the 1890s, still stands over the Mississippi as a reminder of how old this place actually is.

What We Offer Inver Grove Heights Homeowners

The housing stock here runs wide, from established single-family homes to newer multi-family builds, so the work varies property to property:

  • Roofing — full roof replacement using Owens Corning shingles, whether it's a large-lot home in Inver Wood Estates or a smaller property closer to the river.
  • Sidingsiding in James Hardie fiber cement or Exterior Portfolio vinyl, matched to the scale and style of the home.
  • Decks — TimberTech composite decking, well-suited to the river bluff lots common on the city's east side.
  • Windows — ProVia window replacement for better comfort and lower energy bills, regardless of your home's age.

Seamless gutters can also be added on to a roofing or siding project if yours need replacing too.

This past Summer, we hired Midwest Construction to replace insulation, roof and shingles on our 4-Season Porch. They kept us well informed all along the way and they did an excellent job! They were very professional! Midwest pricing was reasonable. We would not hesitate to use Midwest Construction again on any projects that may come up in the future!

There are many construction companies to chose from and why I picked Midwest Construction & Remodeling, was because of the No Pressure approach and Just a great company to work with. Clear communications on the timeline, products used (very well explained), and coordinated with the final inspections + working with our insurance company. My neighbor had used them for a project and was really happy with their work. I will use them again for future projects.
